The Future 500 initiative has identified the 100 Slovenian companies with the strongest potential for international growth, highlighting Slovenia's ability to develop innovative, globally competitive businesses.

The Future 500 initiative has identified the 100 Slovenian companies with the strongest potential for international growth, highlighting Slovenia's ability to develop innovative, globally competitive businesses. Launched by IEDC Bled School of Management in partnership with international institutions, the initiative aims to create conditions that help European scale-ups become global leaders.

The selected companies include technology innovators such as Cosylab, Beyond Semiconductor and Dewesoft, energy company NGEN, fintech provider Leanpay, and many emerging high-growth businesses. Together, these companies have more than doubled their revenues over the past three years, reaching €2.1 billion and employing approximately 8,100 people.

Slovenia serves as the pilot market for the wider Future 500 programme, which is expected to expand across Europe. The initiative demonstrates the country's role as an excellent testing ground for innovation, new technologies and international business development.

A key message from the forum was that Europe does not lack talent, innovation or investment capacity. Rather, greater efforts are needed to connect capital with high-potential companies, strengthen research and digital infrastructure, reduce administrative barriers and improve access to growth financing.

For international investors and business partners, Slovenia offers a unique combination of highly skilled talent, strong research capabilities, advanced industrial know-how and a dynamic ecosystem of fast-growing companies. The Future 500 initiative confirms Slovenia's position as a hub for innovation and a gateway to European and global markets.
